We don’t just wear it. We live it! At Cavender’s, this is more than a clever advertising tagline. It’s simply the truth.

It’s been that way since 1965, when James and Patricia Cavender started the company that, now, more than fifty years later, has grown into a multi-state, western-wear, family-owned and operated empire made up of 77 stores throughout the southwest.

James is quoted as saying, “There is a four-letter word… W-O-R-K… nothing is going to happen unless you’re willing to WORK.” And you would expect nothing less from the visionary who began the retail chain, which now has a reach spanning ten states.

Despite that growth, the company has stayed true to its roots. Those roots run deep and tap into traditions of treating folks right, being business savvy and above all, family. James’ eldest son, Joe, serves as president of the company. Along with his many duties, he works diligently to choose the best boot selection, ensuring that customers always find just the right pair.

His brothers, Mike and Clay Cavender, are also involved – Mike is in charge of store site selection, while Clay oversees store design and merchandising. Their mother, Pat, still decorates all new and remodeled stores. Her diligence and attention to detail allow customers to experience a true western atmosphere in each store.

The Cavender family operates five working ranches in Texas, where they raise registered Brangus and Charolais cattle. It’s here that the family gathers inspiration for their “ranch tested” products.

Cavender’s carries a full line of men’s, women’s and children’s western apparel and the best selection of handcrafted western boots. Look for styles from Ariat, Cinch, Rafter C, Wrangler, Anderson Bean, Lucchese, Justin, Corral and Yeti. Along with the latest fashions, you’ll find work wear and work boots at prices that won’t break the bank.

As a distinguished leader in the western wear industry, Cavender’s has been proudly serving customers in Little Rock since 2015. Dylan Groce is the store manager and has been with Cavender’s since 2009. It’s all in the family for Dylan, who grew up within Cavender’s. His dad, Stephen Groce, is a district manager. Come in and let Dylan and his team outfit you!
