Tiny Hands Monster Bash Costume Party to Benefit Family Home, UAMS Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Join Chairmen Scott Johnson & Dudley Shollmier and scare up some fun this Halloween at the Family Home’s 17th Annual Monster Bash! The costume party fundraiser is scheduled for 6:30-11 p.m. Oct. 25 at Next Level Events, located at 1400 W. Markham St. in Little Rock’s Union Station. Guests can expect live music by Just Sayin’, a silent and live auction, costume contest, hors d’oeuvres courtesy of Scallion’s and beverages courtesy of Glazer’s and Golden Eagle – a cash bar will be available.

This year’s honoree is James Y. Suen, M.D., a world-renowned physician and surgeon in the field of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), specializing in the treatment of complex head and neck cancers, vascular lesions of the head and neck, jaw osteonecrosis, and diseases of the larynx. Dr. Suen was a co-founder and former Director of the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.

Family Home partners with UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute patients to offer comfortable and affordable housing to those receiving outpatient treatment at the hospital and to parents of premature infants being cared for at the UAMS Medical Center and Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Dudley tells, “Family Home offers not only a place to stay, but a place of support for both families and patients.”

Tickets are $40 per person before Oct. 1 and after $50 per person at the door or may be purchased online at familyhomelr.auctionreg.org or by calling 501-978-2900. Guests must be 21 or older and are encouraged to come in costume, although it is not required. Scott informs, “This event is the Home’s main fundraising event and is considered one of the area’s best Halloween parties!” Proceeds from the evening benefit the Family Home, with a portion of the proceeds designated for the UAMS neonatal intensive care unit.
