Why UA Little Rock?

“I transferred to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock as a sophomore; it was the best academic decision I could have made. I received so much more from the smaller, non-dormitory school atmosphere than I ever imagined. My focus changed from enjoying college life a little too much to preparing for my future.

The education I received from UA Little Rock has allowed me to sell P.A.R.K. Positive Atmosphere Reaches Kids via newsletters, grants, social media outlets and other avenues.  It has also allowed me to express myself on paper via my novel The Wonder.

Just recently, for my birthday, my husband Keith surprised me with a UA Little Rock lifetime membership.  You would have thought he had bought me a brand new car or some over-the-top gift the way I reacted.

My UA Little Rock education has opened doors professionally and personally for me, and for that, I am forever grateful. The friendships and relationships I gained as part of the Trojan family are ones to cherish. Several of my closest friends are ones I met while attending UA Little Rock. UA Little Rock has played a big part in my becoming the woman I am today.”

Affordable and relevant, a great metropolitan university is critical to the infrastructure of a vibrant city. It also requires a strong alumni association that’s engaged in civic and business leadership throughout the Capital City. UA Little Rock boasts both – with a shared vision for the future. As UA Little Rock celebrates the success of its alumni, the university and alumni reflect on the role the institution plays in the continued economic development of Central Arkansas and the wealth of knowledge is offer current students.
