Central Arkansas Rescue Effort for Animals, Inc. (CARE) hosts one of its most popular events on May 12 at Next Level Events. CARE’s 9th annual Paws on the Runway will honor the beloved memory of Lyndae Sain Allison and recognize her many contributions to the animal-welfare community.
In this week’s blog, meet two of Paws on the Runway’s two-legged models!
Annemarie Dillard Jazic is director of online experience (managing Dillards.com and digital marketing efforts) and the director of contemporary sportswear for Dillard’s. She is a mom to two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Jimmy and Wilson. Jimmy is a 3-year old, tri-color Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Wilson is an 8-month old, Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
Annemarie is a lover of all animals, and her dogs are her and her husband’s best friends. They help the Jazics start every day off on the right foot with a morning snuggle session followed by an enthusiastic walk around the neighborhood with tireless attempts to greet every other dog, squirrel and bird. At the end of a long day, a warm greeting from the welcome-home party and 20 licks to the face are just what is needed to feel re-energized.
Having had all kinds of pets and animals—from horses to chinchillas and lizards to birds—Annemarie couldn’t imagine life without animals. “They have brought me unparalleled happiness and memories.”
This will be Annemarie’s first time to “PAWticipate” in Paws on the Runway. Annemarie is excited to walk CARE’s Runway and says, “Paws on the Runway is an incredible event to support dogs and cats that deserve a chance to have a loving family. CARE provides a miracle to these animals with little hope left. I am honored to be a part of this event and grateful that I am able to contribute to such a worthy organization. I hope with the awareness this event creates and the funds raised, many more people will come to enjoy the same happiness that pets have brought to our lives.”
Todd Bagwell is a noted event planner who works in both New York and Arkansas. His clients include Christie’s Auction House, Condé Nast Media Group, Vera Wang’s Bridal House and some of Little Rock’s most well-known hostesses. An arts patron and a general man about town, he is known for his involvement in great events like the Beaux Arts Ball and the CHI St. Vincent IV Party.
Despite his philanthropic involvement, reputation for having impeccable taste and his keen eye for design – Todd says his greatest role in life is being a “PAWsome” dad to his little rescued Maltese, Chance of a Lifetime.
Since being asked to walk in CARE’s annual runway show, Todd has been an enthusiastic and supportive member of the Paws on the Runway team. He has gone above and beyond to help raise awareness for CARE’s mission to rescue and rehome pets in need by selling runway tickets and recruiting his fabulous friends to join the fun on May 12.
This will be Todd’s first time to strut down CARE’s runway.
