OLD STATE HOUSE MUSEUM: Camp Old State House Registration

Send your kinds on an adventure through time via our 2020 summer fun youth enrichment program! This year’s program, called Camp Old State House, runs July 13-17 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day.

As the kids explore the museum, they will have fun activities and programs to teach them about the exhibits.

For example the kids will tour the “First Ladies of Arkansas: Women of Their Times” exhibit and then meet a living history character portraying Mary Jane Conway, Arkansas’s very first First Lady. They will also learn about the governors as they examine the governors’ portraits and have a second living history session with an actor portraying Isaac Murphy, who served as governor of Arkansas during the later years of the Civil War and Reconstruction period.

Camp Old State House is geared toward kids who will be in third through ninth grades in the upcoming school year. The cost for the week is $75. To register, email Amanda Colclasure, youth education coordinator.
