HOPE for the Holidays at AEDD, Inc.

Guest blog provided by Arkansas Enterprises for the Developmentally Disabled (AEDD, Inc.)

The season of giving ushers in an exciting announcement in local philanthropy.

Long after the presents have been opened, the lights have come down, and the hustle and bustle of the holiday season is transferred over into the New Year, your donation to AEDD (Arkansas Enterprise for the Developmentally Disabled) will impact the lives of local children and adults who truly need it the most. Founded in 1971, the mission of AEDD is to empower children and adults with disabilities to improve the quality of their life by providing community-based services that maximize individual choices, personal development, community inclusion, independence and their contribution to society.

By choosing to financially support our programs and services you help tiny babies develop into busy toddlers, graduate preschoolers and send them to kindergarten, provide education and employment for adults who would otherwise not have the opportunity to work or attend school, help us create families for those with no family and bury with dignity those who are with us until the end of their lives. With your support, we can continue to provide the best care and support to these children and adults, who might otherwise spend their days in an institution. No matter how large or small, every gift we receive is important to us, and we pledge to honor your donation by being good stewards of the funds we raise to directly support the children and adults that depend on us.

Along with the magic of the holiday season, we are thrilled to welcome Chris Shenep as our new Business Development, Marketing and Communications Director. Over the past few years, we have seen up close and personal how Chris’s passion, exemplary work ethic, strong marketing skills, and commitment to building relationships can greatly benefit nonprofit organizations. His ability to raise funds, while also highlighting our people, programs and services, will play a vital role in taking our fundraising and marketing efforts to the next level.

We’ve had a history-making Giving Tuesday and are off to a great start! Join us in welcoming Chris – and support our programs and services with a gift to the AEDD Holidays of Hope Campaign this year.
