Eggshibition XVIII

Eighteen years ago a new and unique event, featuring a silent auction of eggs decorated by artists and celebrities, raised approximately $20,000 for Youth Home. Since that first Eggshibition in 1992, the event has raised more than $1.75 Million for Youth Home's kids. Eggshibition, Youth Home's annual springtime fundraiser, will be held Friday, April 3, 2009, at the Jack Stephens Center on UALR's campus. Eggshibition has become one of Little Rock's most special and high profile annual auction events.

This year's 18th anniversary theme is Eggshibition XVIII, "Eggs & The City." Tickets for this event are $50 each, and sponsorships are available. Come enjoy the eggs-quisite art, hors d'oeuvres and libations.

The area's leading artists, as well as new and emerging artists, will create egg-shaped masterpieces. Celebrity eggs will be featured, signed by figures from the worlds of sports and entertainment. The "Eggs in Schools" program will feature eggs decorated by local high school art students. Last year, even though weather forced the date to be postponed by two days, more than 650 art connoisseurs and Youth Home friends and supporters vied to own these original artworks, and the event netted $160,000 for Youth Home.

The spring season event will also feature themed gift baskets and a premier auction of fabulous parties, luxurious trips and other eggstra-ordinary items.

Since 1966, Youth Home's mission has remained constant: to help emotionally troubled adolescents overcome social, behavioral, emotional and academic problems so they can find their own inner light and let it shine through brightly. Youth Home is changing lives and saving families, and you can help fulfill that mission by supporting Eggshibition.
