December 4, 2006 - Lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy: removed 4 lymph nodes

Another operating room...but first I was wheeled to st. vincent's imaging center again....the radiologist has to administer the dye for my sentinel node biopsy....he is a complete idiot....asked how I found out I had breast cancer....told him I had found it...told me it is proven that self breast exams don't save lives....i called him an idiot....i wanted him to get far far away from me....i hated him...how could an educated professional say something so terribly stupid to a 33 year old woman recently diagnosed with breast cancer ...something so ridiculous? .. .needless to say, he lives in alaska now...he sucked!

Made it to surgery where dr. fant was awaiting me....comforting, familiar eyes and voice....i was so thankful to have her on my side...on my team!
