After celebrating a 40th anniversary season last year, Ballet Arkansas looks ahead to the future – focusing on new initiatives and enhanced programming. Announcing the 20/20 Vision for the Future, BA plans to unveil a number of plans to advance the organization and its impact on communities across the state at this year’s 9th Annual Turning Pointe Gala. On March 6th at the Chenal Country Club, from 6:00-10:00pm, this year’s gala will honor the dedication of long-standing sponsors with Clark Trim of Colonial Wines & Spirits receiving the Above the Barre award for extraordinary community leadership and arts advocacy – an award the ballet rarely presents. “Clark and Colonial have done so much for the ballet, and we wouldn’t be where we are today without them”, says Executive & Artistic Director Michael Fothergilll. The event features a cocktail hour, seated dinner, dancing, live music and dance performances.
