Happy Anniversary Little Rock River Market!

For the last twenty years, the Little Rock River Market has brought families and friends of all ages together through it’s attractions and activities, such as the Little Rock Farmers Market, Movies in the Park – offered each summer, the Ottenheimer Market Hall and so much more. To celebrate the last two decades of entertainment the River Market has provided to Arkansans, the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau will offer a day full of food, fun and music in the River Market District on Saturday, July 9th.

At 7 a.m. – the River Market Pavilion will open for its weekly Farmers’ Market, featuring over seventy vendors with farm-fresh produce, handmade trinkets and more.

At 9 a.m. – the Farmers’ Market’s Second Saturday events begin, featuring the Garden Gourmet Chef Series, Master Gardeners of Little Rock, Central Arkansas Library System and Rock City Rescue.

Also beginning at 9 a.m. – the Indian Percussion Ensemble of UALR will perform, and the Red Cross will hold a blood drive. Additional entertainment will follow throughout the afternoon both at the Little Rock Farmers’ Market and inside Ottenheimer Market Hall.

Various family activities will begin at 12 p.m. –  train rides through Riverfront Park, bounce houses, slides from All Day Bounce & Play and a climbing wall from Leaps & Bounds until 5 p.m., all located just behind the Farmers’ Market Pavilions.

To wrap up the day of celebration, SynRG will kick off an evening of free, live music beginning at 5 p.m., followed by Rodney Block and the Big Dam Horns at the First Security Amphitheater Stage. Food trucks will offer treats and drinks once the music starts. Limited edition twenty-year anniversary tee shirts will be available for sale to commemorate the evening.

All events are free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.rivermarket.info.
