The 5th annual Downtown Dash 10K/5K is set for Saturday, April 7th.
The race will begin at the Junior League of Little Rock building, located at 401 Scott Street. The event also includes Downtown Dash, Jr., a 1K race for children under age 18. Race day events will begin at 8 a.m.
This year’s race will incorporate new ideas to help bring Downtown Dash to the forefront of the racing scene. The theme will be “Community Service Superheroes” and will highlight how race proceeds are used to support the League’s community service programs, such as Boosters and Big Rigs, Little Readers Rock and KOTA Camp.
Superhero-themed costumes will be encouraged for all participants, and kids will receive a free superhero cape as part of their race registration.
Downtown Dash hopes to build upon the success of the 2017 race, which had over 400 runners. In addition to the scenic course that runs through downtown Little Rock, there will be also be a family-fun area that includes a bounce house, outdoor games, a petting zoo from Heifer International and other kid-friendly activities.
Registration for the 10K/5K is $35/$25 before the event and $40/$30 on race day. Downtown Dash Jr. is $10 before the event and $15 on race day. Participants can also upgrade their registration to VIP for an additional $15 and gain access to our indoor perks area, which includes access to an upgraded Tech Tee, a catered brunch buffet and other perks.
Complimentary beverages will be provided for all paid registrants that are 21 and older. Registration will be available online (click here) through 11:59 p.m. CST April 6. Onsite registration will be available prior to the start of the race. For more information about the race, click here or contact Junior League of Little Rock at (501) 375-5557. Downtown Dash is handicap/stroller accessible and pet friendly.
