Junior Auxiliary of Hot Springs is excited to host Prohibition 2018: History Worth Repeating.
A night of eats, drinks and charity gaming benefitting the children of Garland County through five ongoing service projects of the chapter.
Community support for Prohibition has been overwhelming, resulting in a 2017 sell-out event. For 2018, Junior Auxiliary is looking forward to the possibilities with the newly expanded Hamp Williams Building. The 1920s-era building is the perfect venue for a “Speakeasy,” and the 1920s attire of guests makes for a festive evening for a great cause. Prohibition 2018 will be held on January 20, 2018 from 7-11 p.m. Tickets are $60.00 per person and include heavy hors d’oeuvres, drinks, desserts, charity gaming and live entertainment by the Grayson Goff Band. Guests must be 21 or older to attend.
New this year is a high-stakes poker tournament. Players holding an event ticket can buy-in in advance for an additional $90 to receive 2500 charity gaming chips, and the tournament will begin play at 8 p.m.

All proceeds from Prohibition support the chapter’s service projects, including: LIFE (Looking Into Future Endeavors), which offers life skills lessons for children aging out of the foster care system; the Scholarship Project for Garland County graduates; the School Outreach Committee (SOC), a school outreach program that works directly with school counselors and nurses to address needs as they arise in school such as seasonal shoes, clothing, hygiene items and Christmas assistance; JA Fun Day, a day for special needs students, held at Family Farm Christian Day Camp – the children participate in hayrides, story time, crafts, the petting zoo and much more! Our newest project, to be held in Spring 2018, is a partnership with The Pack Shack to pack shelf stable meals for local food closets.
