Vintage Back-to-School Shopping

This Saturday’s South Main Vintage Market at The Bernice Garden, which should have 20+ vendors, might not be your usual back-to-school shopping venue, but for students into vintage fashion and jewelry, it will be just the right place to be.

Held in and around the garden from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 1401 S. Main in downtown Little Rock, the market features items 20 years old or older, with many mid-century modern pieces, from furniture to kitchenware to clothing and more, in addition to a few new creations made from vintage parts.

Southern Salt Food Company food truck will serve breakfast and lunch from opening until closing. The community piano, courtesy of McGehee Piano Company at 1608 S. Main, will be back for shoppers or vendors who want to tickle the ivories – and some piano students may be there for special performances.

The last two market dates are Sept. 13 and Oct. 11. As usual markets are rain or shine, but check facebook.com/SouthMainVintageMarket for updates in case of storms.
