Youth Home’s The Next Course: Menu Reveal

Youth Home hosts its annual foodie fundraiser, The Next Course, at Albert Pike Memorial Temple in downtown Little Rock on September 28.

This unique, culinary dining experience takes amateur and practiced foodies to new heights as they enjoy five courses – complete with professional chefs’ tips and instruction on how to prepare the next course. Guests also get to take home a book of the night’s recipes to recreate their favorite dishes. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a wine reception and a formal dinner to follow.

In preparation for the big event, we are offering an exclusive sneak peek at the five course menu for the evening – hosted (and prepared) by Shane Henderson, Amanda Ivy, Cody Rudd, Titus Holly and Kelli Marks!

This unique and carefully curated dining experience begins with a First Course by Ben E. Keith Foods Executive Chef Shane Henderson.

He will prepare Smoked Mashed Potato Chile Relleno

Amanda Ivy, Executive Chef at Old Mill Bread Companywill prepare the second courseSouthern Style Avocado Toast

Cody Rudd, Executive Chef at SO Restaurant Barwill prepare the third courseStir Fried Farro and Duck Confit with Orange Crème Fraîche and Salted Cognac Caramel Sauce

Titus Holly, Executive Chef, The Pantry & The Pantry Crest, will prepare the fourth course: Smoked Pork Shoulder and Red Beans Garnished with Pickled Trinity

To conclude the meal and satisfy your sweet tooth, Kelli Marks, Executive Pastry Chef & owner at Sweet Love Catering, will prepare the fifth course: Not So “Derby” Pie

The culinary talent and innovation displayed by these chefs is off the charts, and the food will be equally impressive. We hope your mouths are watering just as much as ours are!

Youth Home: “Proceeds will purchase new living and bedroom furniture for a cottage of 12 boys in Youth Home’s Residential Treatment Program. Both durable and designed for safety, this new furniture is the final touch to renovations that began this summer. Once completed the boys’ cottage will feel be brighter, more welcoming, and feel like home.”
