Bereavement Programs Offered by Arkansas Hospice

Guest Blog by Barbara Ross, Bereavement Manager

We all know that loss is a part of life, but it is never easy. Grief is experienced differently for each person and is a process that takes time. It cannot be rushed, but it can be nurtured. Our bereavement team walks beside families on this challenging journey.

Adult grief support groups meet monthly throughout our 33-county service area. Individual support is available either in person or by phone. We also offer a children’s grief workshop series called Hope & Healing 4 Kids, which uses art and play to support grieving children and the families who love them.

Community bereavement services are also extended to anyone who has experienced a non-hospice related death throughout our communities. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for those facing serious illness and loss by surrounding them with love and embracing them with the best in physical, emotional and spiritual care.

Please contact me at 877.713.2348 for more information or to answer your questions about our programs. Sometimes, all you need is someone to talk to. We are here to listen and help.
