Making Spirits Bright: Heifer Village Hosts Christmas Market

The most wonderful time of year is finally upon us. We have officially flipped the calendar page to December, which means it’s time to start thinking about your Christmas presents!

But don’t worry – we have you covered. Heifer International is hosting our first ever Christmas Market at Heifer Village in downtown Little Rock. The event will be 4–9 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019, and admission is free.

The event is mirrored after traditional outdoor European Christmas markets, and we have curated a wonderful list of local vendors and artisans to make sure you find something for everyone on your list.

From children’s books to intricate woodwork to handmade holiday decorations, each booth will offer unique and thoughtful gifts. We will also have fair-trade and ethically sourced gifts from around the world such as handmade jewelry, accessories and knitwear.

Shopping can stir up quite an appetite, so holiday food and drinks will be available for purchase. This includes bratwursts, crepes, macarons, hot apple cider, hot chocolate and traditional Glühwein. We will also have live holiday music, because we all know that the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.

If you are shopping for someone who has everything, we also have a giving opportunity that is unique to Heifer. You can gift an animal, such as a goat or cow, in honor of your loved one. The animal will provide a new means of income and nutrition for a struggling family, allowing them to lift themselves out of poverty. It’s truly a transformational gift.

We can’t wait to help you breeze through your shopping list. See you Saturday!
