Share Where You Read This Summer

The Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) has initiated a summer reading program designed to inspire inquisitive minds beyond the traditional school year. The Summer Reading Club is a seven-week program that celebrates learning while maintaining and improving reading skills. Each branch of the library will host programs for kids, teens and adults. The program concludes July 5th.

The #mySRC contest encourages members to post photos of favorite summer reading spots on social media accounts and explore this year’s theme, “On Your Mark, Get Set, Read.” To participate, simply post a photo on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook of your summer reading nook! Be sure to tag Central Arkansas Library System on Facebook or @calibrarysystem on Instagram and Twitter. CALS will repost the submissions in an album. A special opportunity to throw the first pitch at Library Night at the Arkansas Travelers game will be awarded to the photo with the most likes, along with one random photo winner. All the CALS programs are free and only require a library card. View this year’s Summer Reading Club schedule online.
