Reviews:
A lot of people think that whiskey is best saved for fall cocktails. They’re not entirely wrong, but the mint in this recipe really brightens + elevates the whiskey into a refreshing summer flavor.

MT: Not a big whiskey drinker, but I like the mint. It kind of reminds me of a mint julep. I would like for it to be sweeter and maybe add something like peach schnapps.

KW: I would, as always, add bubbles – sparkling water or sparkling wine. Bubbles make all cocktails better!

CK: I’m a whiskey fan, so this one is a win for me. I would personally add some more lemon. I think it could use a little more of the mint + citrus flavor.

Additional thoughts from the group:

  • This is very light for a whiskey cocktail – not heavy with big ‘fall flavors’ like cinnamon + clove that are usually paired with whiskey.
  • This would be the perfect late-summer cocktail to ease into the fall season.
