2021 Searcy Holiday of Lights Events

Searcy Holiday of Lights festivities continue Saturday, Dec. 4, with Jolly Jubilee, a new signature day of events for the whole family.

Although the Holiday of Lights celebration has been hosted since 2015, this year, the tradition is ramping up with greatly expanded offerings due to funds granted by the Searcy Advertising and Promotions Commission. The commission awarded $55,000 for the proposal submitted by Searcy Parks and Recreation and the Holiday of Lights committee.

The bulk of the funds will pay for lighting, but the money also allows for an enhanced ice-skating experience, contest prizes for Christmas light contests and new events. One such event is the 2021 World Championship Chocolate Gravy Cookoff to be held Dec. 4 from 9-11 a.m. in Downtown Searcy. Presented by First Security Bank’s OnlyInArk.com and Searcy A&P, the event features two contestant categories: amateur and professional.

Other events include:

  • Christmas Craft Fair
  • Polar Express Pajama Party at the Rialto
  • Santa’s Story Time: “T’was the Night Before Christmas”
  • Christmas Music in Citizen Park
  • Games, Inflatables, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides
  • Historic Searcy and Christmas Light Tours
  • Searcy Christmas Parade
  • And so much more!

Although Jolly Jubilee is centered around Downtown Searcy, the Historic Searcy and Christmas Light Bus Tours will highlight locations in various parts of town. The Berry Merry Christmas event Saturday, Dec. 11, is at Berryhill Park. Guests can meet Santa and their favorite princesses and toy characters and enjoy an outdoor movie with cookies and hot chocolate. These events are expected to draw people from all over the state.
