On Thursday, May 2nd , Central Arkansas Rescue Effort for Animals (“CARE”) will host Paws on the Runway: Fashion Unleashed at Next Level Events from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Escorted by CARE dogs, human models from Bella Boutique, Bella Bridesmaids, CARE Caseworkers, Dillard’s, E. Leigh’s, Greenhaw’s Men’s Wear, Hillcrest Waterbugs, Indigo, Shackleford Road Veterinary Clinic, The Barn at Glazypeau Farms, Unveiled Bridal Couture, and Wags and Whiskers will rock the catwalk because rescue never goes out of style!
In our final blog, we are excited to feature the adorable—and adoptable—pups who will be strutting their stuff on the runway.
Josie – Josie is just a bundle of love wrapped in a stunning package. Josie immediately became a Paws in Prison staff favorite, and it is easy to see why. She is extremely smart and trainable and loves to cuddle. She is house trained, crate trained, and knows basic commands. She enjoys going for car rides and is always ready for an adventure. Josie is a one-year-old female, Border Collie mix who weighs 30 pounds.
Cupcake – Cupcake might be a mature dog, but she doesn’t show it. She loves to go on walks and be around people. She is good with dogs, cats, and children. Her goofy personality is sure to bring a smile to your face. If you are looking for a loving companion to snuggle up with you on the couch, Cupcake is your girl. Cupcake is a female, Bassett Hound who weighs 45 pounds and is 12 years old.
Molly – Molly was found as a stray and came to CARE in very rough shape, but her days have gotten much brighter! She is making a quick recovery with a foster family who gives her all of the TLC she needs. Molly is a sweet, playful puppy who wants to be your best friend! She enjoys playing with her dog friends and her vast collection of squeaky toys. She is working on her manners and is very eager to learn. Molly is a female, Shepherd Mix who weighs 20 pounds and is 12 weeks old.
Thelma & Louise – Thelma and Louise were found running around the parking lot at Shipley Do-nuts. This dynamic duo eventually made their way to CARE, where they quickly stole all of our hearts! Their vivacious and spunky personalities are definitely true to their breed. They enjoy burrowing under the covers, playing with tennis balls, and chasing after squirrels. Thelma and Louise are six-year-old Dachshunds who weigh in at a whopping 15 pounds.
