The Centers’ Champions of Hope Program Begins its 5th Year of Making a Difference
Service, leadership, and philanthropy. These are the pillars of Champions of Hope, a group for young men entering his junior or senior year at schools across the Little Rock metro, which gives them an opportunity to engage with The Centers for Youth & Families and support the organization’s mission.
The Centers is in the process of recruiting its 5th Champions class, and will launch the 2021-2022 program in September with a kick-off dinner at its residential facility on 12th Street in Little Rock. Starting in October, Champions will have several opportunities to serve their community; learn leadership skills from their peers and a robust variety of mentors; and make a positive impact in the community by participating in philanthropic events each month throughout the school year. The program will conclude with a distinguished presentation during The Centers’ annual Evolve Gala which will be hosted April 30th, 2022, at the Statehouse Convention Center.
Note: The Centers will continue to monitor the development of COVID-19 and may adjust its schedule as deemed appropriate for the safety and well-being of all involved.
Parents or rising juniors or seniors interested in learning more about Champions of Hope or to begin the application process should reach out to The Centers’ Foundation Office. The 2021-2022 Champions class will be limited to 40 participants and spaces are filling quickly. The deadline to register is Tuesday, August 31st.
