Eclipse Activities – Innovation Hub

Experience the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, with the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub’s range of indoor and outdoor activities at 204 E 4th St, North Little Rock, AR 72114, in the Argenta District. Join us for a safe viewing of the solar eclipse with glasses provided to you for free!

Starting at 9:00 am, The Hub will be offering walk-up activities, continuing all day! While waiting for the eclipse, visitors can experience The Solar Walk, an educational project that aims to promote STEM/STEAM engagement and inspire curiosity.

The Solar Walk, a project made possible through a generous grant provided by the Arkansas Space Grant Consortium, provides an immersive educational experience for all ages. Solar System Trails, the visionary company behind the Solar Walk’s development, has blended science, technology, and art to bring the cosmos closer to Earth. Informative signage explaining the solar system, celestial bodies, and their significance can be found throughout Argenta, including four around the Innovation Hub.

Inside, there’s plenty of fun for the whole family! Explore a life-size light and shadow Geodesic Dome, create commemorative button pin designs, and make your own solar eclipse swag and t-shirts at our individual screen printing stations! Enjoy light and shadow theaters and create a shadow play!

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to enhance science and astronomy education. Join us for the total solar eclipse and ignite your passion for science!
