CareLink Launches BirthDay of Giving with $10k Match
CareLink, Central Arkansas’ Area Agency on Aging, has rebranded the 2019 Double Day as a BirthDay of Giving. The online day of giving is June 10th, two days before the nonprofit organization’s 42nd anniversary, to raise money and awareness for senior services. Donations up to $10,000 will be matched as part of a generous pledge from an anonymous supporter. CareLink hopes to raise $35,000 for older people and their families in Central Arkansas. In 2019, CareLink’s Double Day raised more than $25,000 for the nonprofit organization.
“We knew Double Day was something we wanted to bring back but because of COVID-19 it needed a refresh. Our hope moving forward is every June we will have an online day to raise money and awareness about the needs of Central Arkansas seniors through highlighting CareLink’s history and the importance of our work in the community,” CareLink Director of Development Meredith Hale notes.
One of eight Area Agencies on Aging in Arkansas, CareLink provides services to more than 12,000 older people and their families annually meet the opportunities and challenges of aging. With services like Meals on Wheels, in-home care, family caregiver assistance and transportation – among other services – CareLink helps older people age safely and independently in the comfort of their homes. To donate on June 10th, visit CareLink’s website at CareLink.org/give-now. Every dollar raised will help reach the $35,000 goal.
