Why UA Little Rock?
As a non-traditional student, flexible scheduling was very important in choosing where I would complete my degree. UA Little Rock was one of the only colleges in Arkansas that offered a completely online accounting program. And my peers spoke very highly of the accounting program and professors at UA Little Rock. At Simmons Bank, I am able to leverage the knowledge and skills I acquired during my time in the accounting program at UA Little Rock to build lasting customer relationships and help my customers achieve their financial goals.
In addition to serving my customers, I also have a strong passion for serving the Little Rock community. I am a board member and Treasurer for The Hat Club and serve on the Taste of Little Rock Committee. The Hat Club is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps several charitable organizations through fundraising events. Taste of Little Rock raises funds for the UA Little Rock Alumni Association Scholarship Fund while introducing guests to some of the best food in the city from the finest restaurants in Little Rock.
I couldn’t be happier with my decision to attend UA Little Rock. I have stayed in touch with some of the professors and the opportunity to network with other UA Little Rock staff, students and new graduates.
Affordable and relevant, a great metropolitan university is critical to the infrastructure of a vibrant city. It also requires a strong alumni association that’s engaged in civic and business leadership throughout the Capital City. UA Little Rock boasts both – with a shared vision for the future. As UA Little Rock celebrates the success of its alumni, the university and alumni reflect on the role the institution plays in the continued economic development of Central Arkansas and the wealth of knowledge is offer current students.
