Why UA Little Rock?

“Choosing UA Little Rock was more than just a top-notch education – my UA Little Rock education was more of an experience that gave me knowledge, skills and confidence. UA Little Rock is a community within our larger Central Arkansas community, and having that sense of community unites us and makes us a part of something bigger than just ourselves.

While I was a student at UA Little Rock, I met many of my closest friends through Chi Omega. The lessons I learned from Chi O advisors have stayed with me to this day.  I currently serve as the president of the UA Little Rock Alumni Association where I have the honor to work with UA Little Rock staff and other alumni.  This year, we’re actively raising scholarship monies for future and current UA Little Rock students.  Our goal is to endow a scholarship by the end of this year to continue the tradition of excellence of UA Little Rock students and graduates. And, I love supporting UA Little Rock Athletics.  My parents began taking me to basketball games – at Barton Coliseum – many years ago. Go Trojans!”

Affordable and relevant, a great metropolitan university is critical to the infrastructure of a vibrant city. It also requires a strong alumni association that’s engaged in civic and business leadership throughout the Capital City. UA Little Rock boasts both – with a shared vision for the future. As UA Little Rock celebrates the success of its alumni, the university and alumni reflect on the role the institution plays in the continued economic development of Central Arkansas and the wealth of knowledge is offer current students.
