Beginning Interests… I became interested in the career of pharmacy because I love people and love the health industry. I wanted a job in which I could work while being a mom. I love the feel of a locally-owned retail pharmacy because I have developed such a close, personal relationship with my patients and coworkers.
A Day at Work… My routine consists of filling prescriptions and counseling patients, hormone consultations, marketing, researching new products and conversing with physicians. We are known, at Cornerstone Rodney Parham, for being on the cutting edge of pharmacy practices and I love to try new things.
LOVE the Work… I have always loved the business aspect of the pharmacy field. I truly enjoy marketing, networking and running the business side of things while simultaneously getting to care-for and relate-to my customers. I also love my coworkers. Surrounding yourself with a great team can truly make your business.
Surprising, but True… I definitely think the biggest surprise for young women is that STEAM fields are always evolving. You are constantly able to use your talents and creativity to succeed – there is so much room for expansion in this profession.
These wonder women are redefining what STEAM means in the Capital City. With exciting careers in science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics – each reflects WIT (women in tech) and true grit for making the most of every opportunity. Here’s to the PowHER of knowledge.
