Women in Steam – Kara Woller

Kara Woller CDK Global Account Development Executive

Beginning Interests…I owned my own business for seven years and retired, after about two years I decided that retirement was not for me. A friend of mine heard about this position and knew how much I loved sales and being out seeing people! I decided one day to go for it – what did I have to lose? The rest is history and here I am back doing what I love!

Career Evolution…I started The Shot Clinic seven years ago and sold it in 2021. With the clinic, I would get out and see corporations to see how we could help keep their employees healthy. I realized I missed being out seeing people and helping them with their business. So here I am working with automotive dealers helping them better streamline their customer experience as well as the dealership!

Surprising But True…I do not have a software background, but I did not let that stop me from this career path. I use the experiences I have in sales and automotive to help me with this new path. Technology is evolving every day and it is so exciting to see what is up next!

Advice…I turned 50 years young last year and was retired. I never imagined I would be learning a new Industry at this point in my life. However, I love it and would not change a thing! Never put a ceiling on yourself. It is never too late to learn something new when you put your mind to it.

These wonder women are redefining what “full STEAM ahead” means in Arkansas. With exciting careers in science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics – each reflects WIT (Women in Tech) and true grit for making the most of every opportunity. Here’s to the powHER of knowledge.
