BALLET ARKANSAS: Summer Dance Programs – Summer Intensive

Ballet Arkansas will offer a variety of in-person programs this summer for dancers of all ages and abilities. From July 19-31, continuing a multifaceted partnership with UA – Little Rock’s Department of Theatre Arts, Ballet Arkansas is pleased to announce the 2021 Summer Intensive (Two Week) will be housed at the UA – Little Rock Center for Performing Arts. Ballet Arkansas’ annual Summer Intensive provides students ages 10-21 with opportunities to train in multiple disciples at the highest level with a distinguished faculty consisting of the Artistic Staff and dancers of Ballet Arkansas and celebrated guest professionals. Classes and workshops are offered in ballet, pointe/men’s, variations, conditioning, contemporary, pilates/yoga, choreography & improvisation, repertory, nutrition, stage makeup, acting, dance history, and production. Multiple levels with small class sizes give students the personalized attention and encouragement they need to advance their abilities. Classes will be held 10am-3pm during the week and 10am-12pm on Saturdays. The intensive will culminate with a showcase on Saturday, July 31st at 2pm for families and friends. This program is designed to hone the skills of the Intermediate and Advanced level dancer and a minimum of 3-5 years of dance training is recommended to excel in this program. Full tuition is $750. A $100 deposit is due upon registration and remaining tuition ($650) is due by April 30th. Ages 10-21.

Small class sizes with Covid precautions in place will give students the attention they deserve in a safe environment. Ballet Arkansas works closely with the Arkansas Department of Health to ensure safe practices and has prepared hybrid alternatives should circumstances change in our community.
