DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION: 100th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage

Little Rock-Centennial Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) members will meet Saturday August 22, 2020 at 8:30a.m. at the Women’s Suffrage Centennial Plaza in Riverfront Park in Little Rock, Arkansas to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage and the adoption of the 19th Amendment as part of the United States Constitution. Chapter members will be wearing white and many members will be dressed in period costume clothing.

Speakers at the event will be Chapter Regent Angie Dennis, Chapter Historian Stephanie Wade and Arkansas Society Daughters of The American Revolution (ASDAR) Historian Betsy Barnes. Wade is Historian/Special Projects Coordinator at the Division of Arkansas Heritage and a member of the Arkansas Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commemoration Committee. Many members of the Women’s Suffrage movement were members of NSDAR including Susan B. Anthony and Alice Paul. Current Arkansas Society NSDAR Executive Officers have been invited to attend this event.

Gathering will be held at the Women’s Suffrage Centennial Plaza in Riverfront Park in Little Rock, Arkansas.
