Fort Smith Regional Art Museum: Will Barnet Exhibit

Will Barnet was an American printmaker and painter known for his elegant portraits and visions of beautiful women and children. This exhibit showcases re-developed ideas of Barnet’s 1960’s works from abstraction to figuration that he never finished. Barnet’s unusual combination of subtly painted, imaginary figurative imagery are enhanced by his newer visions of color and special feeling, which exemplifies his ongoing capacity for reinvention and new perspectives as a man who at the time was nearing 100. This exhibit will have an opening reception at RAM on Thursday, February 14, 2018 – free for members, $5 for nonmembers.
