Little Rock Zoo/City of Little Rock: Volunteer to Help with Heat Study

| Event title: Volunteer to Help with Heat Study Event dates: Aug 19, 2023, 6:00am to 8:00pm Event location: Little Rock Zoo 1 Zoo Drive Little Rock, AR 72205 Event description: Extreme heat intensifies in developed areas with many buildings and roads, but few trees or green spaces. In these areas, heat gets stored by unshaded concrete and asphalt, which then radiate heat back into the air. To better understand the hottest and coolest places in our city, the Little Rock Zoo is partnering with City of Little Rock in seeking volunteers to help collect environmental data.
