Renowned Breast Cancer Surgeon, Dr. Kristi Funk to Headline My Tata Testimony Benefit in Hot Springs, Arkansas on 3 October 2023
Dr. Kristi Funk, a world-renowned breast cancer surgeon, author, and advocate for women’s health, has accepted an invitation from Amber Henson to make a special appearance at the kick-off fundraising event for the upcoming My Tata Testimony Benefit. The event at J & S Italian Villa, 4332 Central Avenue, suite B, will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on 3 October 2023 and is the first of four weekly events being hosted by My Tata Testimony and local venues during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
In addition to Dr. Funk’s appearance at the kick-off event, Wrapped Gift Boutique, 404 Central Avenue, will host a book signing on Tuesday, 3 October, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dr. Funk is the author of Breasts: The Owner’s Manual, a best-seller available in over 20 countries. She has also appeared on such television programs as Good Morning America, The Doctors, Doctor Oz, CNN, Rachael Ray, and others.
Dr. Funk, a board-certified breast cancer surgeon and physician, was instrumental throughout Henson’s breast cancer journey and care and is widely recognized for her expertise in breast cancer treatment and prevention.
“Dr. Funk tailored a plan to fit my diagnosis. Her progressive knowledge of not only breast cancer but the CDH1 gene and its connection to breast cancer saved my life,” said Henson.
Dr. Funk is the founder of the Pink Lotus Breast Center in Los Angeles, a cutting-edge medical facility dedicated to comprehensive breast care, and has played a pivotal role in helping countless women in their fight against breast cancer, including celebrities Angelina Jolie and Sheryl Crow.
