OLD STATE HOUSE MUSEUM: Death by Design: The Secret Holocaust of Wrightsville, Arkansas

This theatrical production by students from Meridian High School in Mississippi tells the story of the fire that killed 21 African American teenagers at a detention center in Wrightsville. The production’s Little Rock debut was made possible by a grant from the Black History Commission of Arkansas. The Arkansas Peace and Justice Memorial Movement recognizes this production as part of its “Seeing AR History in 20/20” campaign.
