AT THE FIRST ANNUAL LOCAL CEREMONY ON APRIL 11, 2023
Senior Military and Community Leaders to address over 200 people at the ceremony.
Who: National and local VIPs to address Central Arkansas high school seniors (and their
parents) who plan to enlist into the military immediately after high school
graduation

The Our Community Salutes of High School Enlistee Recognition Ceremony will be held
on APRIL 11 to honor all the graduating high school seniors in Central Arkansas who
plan to enlist into the military immediately after high school graduation. These seniors
represent just one-percent of all high school graduates.
Over 300 people are expected in attendance, including local, state, and national leaders.
Speakers include Governor Huckabee-Sanders; Former Governor Mike Huckabee; AR
Secretary of AR Department of Veterans Affairs, Major General Retired Kendall Penn;
Attorney General, Tim Griffin; 2nd AR District, Congressman French Hill; Deputy
Commander of Army National Guard, Major General Troy Galloway; the Arkansas
Adjutant General – TAG, Major General Jonathan Stubbs; Army Futures Command,
Brigadier General Stephanie Ahern; Dallas Cowboys Chief Operating Officer and
Executive Vice President, Stephen Jones, and others.
“Today more than ever, our nation’s newest and youngest service members need to know that
their community and their country stand behind their decision to serve our nation”, Dr. Kenneth
Hartman, founder of Our Community Salutes. “College-bound seniors and Division 1 athletes get
much recognition. For our nation’s military-bound seniors, this is their signing ceremony”, states
Hartman.
OCS was started in Camden County (NJ) in 2009. Today, OCS chapters exist in over 27 states,
with over 70 OCS ceremonies being conducted this spring.
Local military, academic, civic, and business organizations will be present to recognize those
