On Thursday, May 10th, Central Arkansas Rescue Effort for Animals, Inc. (“CARE”) will host Paws on the Runway: Vanity Fur at Next Level Events from 6 to 9 p.m.
Escorted by CARE dogs, human models from B. Barnett, Bark Bar, Beehive, Bella Boutique, Culture Clothing Co., Dillard’s, E. Leigh’s, Go! Running, Greenhaw’s Men’s Wear, Indigo, Kenneth Edwards Fine Jewelers, Shackleford Road Veterinary Clinic and Steamroller Blues will strut our runway because rescue looks great on everyone and never goes out of style!
In our final blog, we are excited to feature the adorable — and adoptable — canine models rocking our runway.
Adele III – Rescued from a hoarding situation, Adele has had a rough life. To add insult to injury, she is deaf and partially blind. Adele has come to CARE searching for a second “leash” on life! She loves to play outside, enjoys other dogs and is very smart. Have we mentioned how stunning Adele is? Talk about a model! Adele is a one-year-old female, Australian Shepherd mix who weighs 47 pounds.
Molly Ringwald – Molly Ringwald is a sweet, shy girl. Due to tragic circumstances, Molly found herself in the shelter. She is very loving, affectionate, great with other dogs and mild mannered. Molly Ringwald would love to join your “brat pack” and wants the world to know that models come in all shapes and sizes! She is a female, Chihuahua/Terrier mix who weighs 19 pounds and is 6 years old.
Sonny III – Sonny is a sweet boy who has had a hard life. Despite this, he loves to play with other dogs and is great with children. Sonny loves to chew on elk antlers and enjoys Kong toys. He is quite handsome and would love to take long walks on the beach with you. Sonny is a male, Foxhound who weighs 40 pounds and is 2 years old.
Zoey III – Zoey was found abandoned and was rescued by a kind stranger. Zoey made her way to CARE, where she stole everyone’s hearts with how smart and sweet she is! She does great with people and confident dogs, and she is easily trained by a firm handler. This gorgeous girl is ready to be the star of your show! Zoey is a female, Labrador mix who weighs 45 pounds and is 2 years old.
