Cupcakes for Goodness Sake – Street Fest

Guest blog provided by CareLink

The 3rd Annual Cupcakes for Goodness Sake offers fun for folks of all ages – even pets!

CareLink’s decision to take it to the streets has not only opened up the event to more attendees but has also allowed the nonprofit to involve even more local businesses and promote community engagement. “We’re located in North Little Rock, very near the Argenta neighborhood,” Randi Metcalf, Vice President of Development, explains. “We are excited to support the area and to party in our own backyard!”

The unique street fest centers around a farmers’ market themed cupcake competition, challenging 12 Central Arkansas bakers to draw inspiration from fresh produce as they square off for titles and prizes. Returning professional bakers Katie Proffer of Blue Cake Company and Christy Milligan of Cupcakes on Kavanaugh join Old Mill Bread, Boulevard Bread + eight amateur teams from the area.

But that’s not all Cupcakes for Goodness Sake is serving up!

After enjoying sweets and carefully casting your vote, you will have the opportunity to shop handcrafted goods and pieces of art from various local vendors. From Millie Mae Collection’s trendy earrings to Knox on Wood’s custom woodworks, there’s sure to be something for everyone!

With your sweet tooth and shopping spree satisfied, stick around for live music from Hello Stranger beginning at 6 p.m., craft beer from Stone’s Throw & Diamond Bear and food truck treats from The Clean Eatery & Black Hound Barbeque – the perfect way to ward off the eminent sugar crash and keep the party going.
