Serving Up Solutions

Local chefs will present delicious delights for Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance friends and patrons at the organization’s annual Serving Up Solutions event.

Dinner will be prepared by local chefs and served by members of the Arkansas Legislative Hunger Caucus. Guests will also enjoy silent and live auctions with artwork, sculptures, trips and more provided by anti-hunger advocates from across Central Arkansas. This year’s guest chefs include Matthew Bell (South on Main), Donnie Ferneau (The 1836 Club), Rosalia Monroe (Café Bossa Nova) and Capi Peck (Trio’s). Each chef supports the organization throughout the year as Cooking Matters course instructors or through work with the No Kid Hungry campaign. The co-chairs for this year’s event are Ruth and Lance Whitney.

A highlight of the evening will certainly be the premier of the new Hunger Relief Alliance video – featuring the organization’s strategic partnerships that bring awareness of hunger’s involvement in most of the big issues facing our state.

Proceeds from the evening support the programs and operations of the Hunger Relief Alliance and provide grants to food banks, food pantries and other hunger agencies in the districts of legislators who participate in the event. Last year’s Serving Up Solutions proceeds exceeded its goal of $115,000. Don’t miss this delicious opportunity to combat hunger in our state!
