The foundation for a vibrant community is built on a few basic building blocks – a lasting legacy, connected people and a rich culture. These components are the result of an infrastructure comprised of a healthy job market, strong educational options and a city framework that supports bustling activity + growth. Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Gary Troutman is the principal force and voice of the Hot Springs business community. He is the visionary of the organization and provides consistent leadership as the Spa City continues to flourish as a desirable town for thousands to call home. Next month, Gary will welcome guests to the annual banquet that celebrates the accomplishments and continued success of Hot Springs.

Gary is a Hot Springs native, born and raised in the Spa City with parents who instilled the love for The Natural State. He summarizes this love in one word: everything. The beautiful lakes, historical downtown, superior schools, delightful restaurants and businesses created a place where friendships and memories blossomed. “It is truly home, and it will always have that special feeling in my heart and the hearts of many other residents,” explains Gary.

As the president and CEO of the Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce, Gary remains steadfast in his work to further bolster the greatness of the city. “My belief is that if we lay a solid foundation, we can confidently make our case against almost any other community in the country,” Gary shares as he summarizes the chamber’s commitment to promoting Garland County’s first-rate public schools as a key factor in a successful local industry. Attracting a competitive workforce is essential to growth as businesses considering moving to Arkansas, and Gary with his team at the chamber are pursuing intentional solutions.

“Most of our residents live here by choice, and because they love our community,” Gary makes clear. “Who better to tell our story and get others to experience the too-many-to-count wonderful things that are a part of our everyday lives than all those who call Hot Springs home.” These ambassadors are the motivation for Gary’s work at the chamber as he advocates for the local businesses and strategizes the next steps to keep Hot Springs on its growing trajectory.

The chamber will hosts its annual Installation Banquet & Meeting at the Hot Springs Convention Center to celebrate the area’s businesses + community. Guests will enjoy cocktails, dinner and a year in review as well as the critical role the Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce plays in the bright future of the Spa City. This kind of strategic partnership between residents, merchants and elected officials creates ample opportunity for a shared vision that brings more commerce and visitors to work and play.
