As we look forward to summer festivities and fun, we couldn’t resist the opportunity to share this signature cocktail recipe. It’s a throwback to the Colonial Wines & Spirits Celebrity Cocktail Month. Perfect for a weekend on the lake, a night with the girls or even a little extra sparkle on a rainy afternoon – it celebrates the summertime SASS all Southern gals embrace!
Sparkling Southern Sass
Ingredients:
1 ¼ cups of Cointreau or Grand Marnier
1 ¼ cups of cranberry cocktail juice
½ cup plus 2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice
3 tablespoons of superfine granulated sugar
4 cups of chilled Champagne (Scharffenberger Brut recommended)
Directions:
Mix all ingredients except the chilled Champagne. Before serving, pour chilled Champagne into a Champagne flute. Top off with the remaining ingredients. Garnish with fresh lime and cranberries for the ultimate sassy touch! Toast and enjoy!
