LITTLE ROCK: Main Street Pocket Park Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Downtown Little Rock’s newest parklet, located off Main Street next to the Donaghey Building, celebrates its grand opening at 11 a.m. Friday, May 14 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The park, which was once a dilapidated weedy patch of land, was restored by Downtown Little Rock Partnership, with sponsorship by Ben E. Keith Foods. The park, now known as the Main Street Pocket Park, is home to 10 food-themed murals by local artists, artificial grass, picnic tables and string lights. The grand opening celebration will continue Friday evening with drinks and live music in the pocket park from 5-8 p.m. as 2nd Friday Art Night hosts its return to in-person programming in that space.
