SOMA: SoMardi Gras Parade

Join SoMa 501 at High Noon on Saturday, February 22, 2020 for the Annual SoMardi Gras Parade! This year’s theme, The Rolling Twenties, pays homage to all of the past ’20s decades: The Roaring 1920s, The Industrial Revolution of the 1820s, and the powdered wigs of the 1720s! Online registration for parade floats will remain open through Wednesday, February 19th, so get signed up and let your imagination roll as you come up with the most creative theme!
The parade kicks off at noon at the intersection of 24th and Main Streets in Little Rock and proceeds through the heart of SoMa, all the way to 12th Street. Grab your friends and family and line the parade route to see how many beads you can catch! After the parade is over, parade goes gather at The Bernice Garden to watch the 8th Annual Beard & Mustache Contest. This unique contest features categories for Best Natural Beard Over 6″, Best Natural Beard Under 6″, Best Mustache, Best Groomed Beard, Most Original Beard, and Best DIY Crafted Beard (Women’s Category).
