Andrew Carroll considers what he loves most about living and giving in Central Arkansas. “The close-knit community,” he explains. “Whether strangers or friends, people genuinely support one another. It makes living here pretty special and I’m proud to call this home.” A native of Little Rock, Andrew has deep roots in the Capital City; it’s where he grew up and developed relationships that last a lifetime.

After attending the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, he returned to Little Rock to pursue his career in finance. In addition to his professional accomplishments at Encore Bank, Andrew has earned a reputation as a devoted civic leader for many organizations including Arkansas Enterprises for the Developmentally Disabled. “Helping others achieve goals that they may otherwise not be able to reach without certain resources is special. It’s not just about going to work every day – I want to help people in as many ways as possible. I’m honored to be involved at AEDD during such an important time.”

Since 1971, AEDD has helped individuals with developmental disabilities gain independence and improve the quality of their lives – primarily through education and employment. The organization continues to expand its programs, serving hundreds of individuals annually at multiple locations throughout Central Arkansas. Director of Marketing & Business Development Chris Shenep introduced Andrew to AEDD in 2017. Since then, Andrew’s support has been unwavering. “At AEDD, you can really see the mission at work every day. Being able to take a tour and interact with children and adults is powerful. It’s amazing to see those who might not be able to work, live independently or find their purpose in life be able to do so – thanks to the programs, services and therapies provided at AEDD.”

Under his leadership, Andrew has recently completed recruitment of the inaugural AEDD Development Council – acting as advocates for the organization’s fundraising and development vision. The council will implement strategies that promote and acquire financial support, which will help continue the organization’s recent record-breaking fundraising achievements. “As exciting as it is to see all of this success, I’m glad we’re taking advantage of the growth by taking time to form such an all-star group of local business and community leaders. This council will impact countless areas of our organization,” Chris explains, “We honor our past by building for the future. It’s rewarding to have somebody like Andrew Carroll leading such a tremendous team that will focus on current fundraising needs along with long-term growth.”

An avid golfer, Andrew continues to support the annual AEDD Tee Off Classic Golf Tournament later this month. “We all have our own battles and victories, so if there’s a way I can take a little bit of what I’ve learned from others over the years and make a difference in someone’s life – big or small – I’ll always take time to be a part of philanthropic efforts that make our community even stronger. And, this is a special organization with tremendous leadership. I’m honored to be involved and help spread the story about the amazing work done each day at AEDD. And, if you’re interested – regardless of which side of the Arkansas River you’re located on, please come join our efforts. It’s a mission that will truly touch your life.”
