Potluck Food Rescue – Driving Away Hunger

The Potluck Food Rescue annual event, Driving Away Hunger, is on August 31 at the Railyard at 6:30PM. It is event is the largest source of unrestricted funds for our organization. Our goal this year is $75,000 which is 25% of our overall budget.

Potluck Food Rescue has been around officially since 1991 but collecting and donating food since 1989. It was founded by a group of concerned and motivated citizens – including Junior League of Little Rock. Since that time we have rescued millions of pounds of food. In 2022, we recovered over 500,000 pounds of food from more than 70 food donors and provided it to 57 area agencies serving Pulaski County and five additional Central Arkansas counties.

We have 3 vans, and 4 employees and a handful of dedicated volunteers.

The majority of the food we distribute is highly nutritious fruits and vegetables. We also provide dairy, meats, and baked goods.

Tickets are $75 and include food, drinks, and entertainment. The live band is The Hounds. Dinner is provided by area restaurants including Ciao Baci, Four Quarter, Park Grill, CARTI, Ben E. Keith, Raduno, Petit & Keet, Count Porkula and Loblolly. There will be also be a live auction.

Tickets are available by visiting https://secure.givelively.org/event/potluck-inc/driving-away-hunger-2023 or by calling Sylvia Blain at 501-371-0303 to purchase over the phone
