Why UA Little Rock?

I chose UA Little Rock because it allowed me to be close to my family. The university instilled a commitment to service that continues today.

My department also maintains a close personal relationship with the university. Each semester, we host two PhD student interns from the School of Criminal Justice & Criminology. That relationship will be expanded later this summer as the department begins a multi-year contract with the school to provide a comprehensive and independent evaluation of our adult corrections.

Many of my closest friends are individuals I met at UA Little Rock. While I was a student, I was initiated into the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity through the Kappa Psi Chapter. That affiliation continues today and has allowed me to participate in service and leadership roles at the state, regional, and international levels.”

Affordable and relevant, a great metropolitan university is critical to the infrastructure of a vibrant city. It also requires a strong alumni association that’s engaged in civic and business leadership throughout the Capital City. UA Little Rock boasts both – with a shared vision for the future. As UA Little Rock celebrates the success of its alumni, the university and alumni reflect on the role the institution plays in the continued economic development of Central Arkansas and the wealth of knowledge is offer current students.
