UPLIFT ARKANSAS: Support Downtown Restaurants

As we all practice social distancing, many of us have looked to food for a sense of familiarity in these uncertain times. While we’ve all been cooking at home and it feels like almost everyone on social media has starting baking bread, you can still get a fantastic meal from many of Little Rock’s best restaurants. The dining scene in Little Rock is one of the city’s best features and now, more than ever before, they need our support. Here are six downtown restaurants that you should order from this week.

Three Fold Noodles and Dumpling Co. Treat your family to one of Three Fold’s “Family Spreads.” These freshly made, family-sized meals can feed a household of 4 or more. Choose between their Dumpling Family Spread, Noodle Family Spread or get both dumplings and noodles with the Three Fold Family Spread. Instagram: @eat3fold

South on Main We may have to wait a little while before we hear another band on the South on Main stage, but we can have their signature southern fare any night of the week with their new to-go menu. When you order, be sure to ask about their to-go wine pairings! Instagram: @southonmainlr

The Root Café Aside from being one of the best brunch spots in town, The Root is famous for their use of locally sourced ingredients. They offer curbside pickup or delivery on a host of local grocery items including meats, vegetables, cheeses and even toilet paper. Instagram: @therootcafe  |  Photography Dero Sanford

Count Porkula The undisputed kings of downtown barbeque are getting ready to celebrate Easter the only way they know how – with ribs, brisket and pork butts. They’ve also got hams and turkey breasts galore and, of course, all the side staples you could want. Easter orders should be placed Friday, April 10th.  Instagram: @countporkulabbq

Lost Forty Brewing Did someone say “drive through beer pickup?!” No one is complaining about the recent changes in state liquor laws, and now that we can pick up dinner and a six-pack of our favorite beer by swinging through the brewery’s East Village parking lot? Surely, we can’t be the only ones wondering if a few of these changes could be permanent. Instagram: @lost40beer

Buenos Aires Grill and Cafe You can still get a taste for travel at Buenos Aires, Little Rock’s Argentinian-inspired hot spot. They’re our go-to spot for empanadas (now with a bake-at-home option), steaks and seafood. And while you’re there, don’t forget to pick up some dessert. Their cakes are among the best in town!
