Big Dam Bridge Hosts Full Moon Walk

Three thousand walkers are expected to attend the upcoming Full Moon Walk at the Big Dam Bridge, far surpassing last year’s attendance count of 2,000. The Big Dam Bridge Foundation and the Arkansas Minority Health Commission are teaming up to host The Big Dam Bridge Full Moon Walk at 6:30p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25. This annual event is a free community event designed to educate people about the availability of physical fitness options at the Big Dam Bridge.

Guest blog by Junior League of Little Rock - We call it the "shopping event of the season"... and it is! Junior League of Little Rock has been rolling out the pink carpet of Holiday House for more than 20 years. Every November, we dust off the holiday garland and twinkle lights in preparation for the thousands of shoppers that will descend upon downtown Little Rock. It may be only four days of shopping, but it takes 361 days to make it happen. This year the party starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7.

AN EVENT FOR A RAZORBACK: AEDD’s HAWGS FOR A CAUSE

This November, Arkansas Enterprises for the Developmentally Disabled will host its fourth annual Razorback-themed fundraiser, Hawgs for a Cause, to benefit the AEDD Auxiliary in continuing their services in central Arkansas. Since 1971, AEDD has been helping Arkansans with developmental disabilities. AEDD is a nonprofit United Way Agency that provides work opportunities for adults and services to children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old in Central Arkansas.
